In a second embodiment, a reduced amount of information is communicated, where each beacon transmitter is designed to transmit only traffic information of monitored roads which are actually congested. No information is transmitted on the monitored roads which are not congested (col. 5, lines 3-15). Figures 11 and 8 include an arrow which displays the user's vehicle and direction of travel, along with a normal road map display. Figure 7 shows different representations of road congestion. From our review of Furuya, we find that although Furuya discloses a display with road images and congestion, along with an indication of the user's vehicle and travel direction, we find no evidence that the traffic information received by communication means 101 includes image data. Turning to Liebesny, we find that television cameras 17 are used at key check points to provide raw traffic data to citywide coordinators 15 (col. 3, lines 45 and 46, and col. 8, lines 22-26 and figure 1).
