                                 DECISION ON APPEAL                                   
               Richard B. Salmonson appeals from the examiner’s rejection             
          of claims 1 through 16 and 18 through 20, all of the claims                 
          pending in the application.                                                 
                                    THE INVENTION                                     
               The invention relates to “an assembly process of a chip,               
          such as a microprocessor chip, and heat sink to a circuit board”            
          (specification, page 2).  Representative claims 1, 9 and 14 read            
          as follows:                                                                 
               1. A printed circuit board assembly comprising                         
               a printed circuit board, having coarse alignment features;             
               a socket attached to the printed circuit board and an                  
          actuator attached to the socket, the socket and actuator being
