3 The invention is directed to a system to determine and predict the
4 position of a trailer relative to a vehicle. The system then displays the
5 trailer’s current and predicted position to the vehicle’s driver to assist in
6 controlling the direction of the trailer relative to the vehicle. See paragraph
7 0008 of Appellants’ specification. Claim 1 representative of the invention
8 and reproduced below:
9 1. A method for use in a vehicle comprising;
10 sensing a current position of a trailer relative to the vehicle;
11 determining a vehicle steering wheel angle;
12 determining a predicted position of the trailer based on the
13 current position and the steering wheel angle; and
14 displaying within the vehicle the current position and the
15 predicted position of the trailer relative to the vehicle.
