8 01. The Specification contains no lexicographic definition of
9 “relationship” or “define.”
10 02. The Appellants selected the Merriam-Webster on-line dictionary1 as a
11 source for defining the words “relationship” and “define.”
12 03. The Merriam-Webster on-line dictionary defines “relationship” as
13 1: the state of being related or interrelated
14 2: the relation connecting or binding participants in a relationship: as
15 a: kinship
16 b: a specific instance or type of kinship
17 3 a: a state of affairs existing between those having relations or dealings
18 b: a romantic or passionate attachment
