Riboflavin also can be prepared by microbial fermentation of nutrient mashes with the microorganism Ashbya gossypii (Tanner, U.S. Patent Nš 2,445,128, col. 1, lines 8-10 (1948); Kirk-Othmer, pages 113-115). 4. Riboflavin prepared for use in poultry and livestock feeds, for example, is produced by fermentation using microorganisms, such as Ashbya gossypii (Kirk-Othmer at 108 and 114; specification, page 1, lines 21-22). 5.
